Flawless Foundations

thumbnail_IMG_0354.jpg

If there’s one beauty product you need to get right, it’s definitely investing in a good foundation. Foundation is the base of your makeup look and I feel that by having a flawless foundation, it is easier to create a sleek and perfected look.

Over the years I have tried and tested so many great, and unfortunately not so great foundations. I decided to write a post of my four favourite foundations. These are all high end make up brands, but for the quality of the product I definitely think that they are worth every  penny.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet – 20 Beige

This foundation is very light on the skin, leaving you with a fresh, matte full coverage finish. I love to use this foundation in the summer as it allows you to have full coverage, but will still leave your skin feeling fresh and breathable.

Too Faced Born This Way – Warm Nude

This is a new favourite of mine. After reading mixed reviews of the product I was keen to try it out for myself. I was pleased to find that this foundation leaves you with a glowing full coverage complexion. I tend to apply this foundation with a beauty blender as it leaves your with an airbrushed look.

Giorgio Armarni Luminous Silk Foundation – Shade 4

I love to use this foundation when I am in need of a long lasting look. This foundation is very buildable which allows you to create a texture suited to your choice. I love how dewy this foundation leaves my skin, giving off the perfect glow suitable for both day and night.

Urban Decay All Nighter – Shade 4.0

As the name states, this foundation is great if you’re looking for something that will last all night. This product definitely provides you with full coverage. The only thing I would say is that the texture of this product is very thick, which can leave your skin feeling  heavy.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my review of these flawless foundations.
It would be great to hear which foundations you love!

  1. Love this post! I tried a sample of perfection lumiere velvet the other day and it was lovely! I had very bad luck with the Urban Decay foundation, it left my skin looking very chalky! I can see it being perfect for oily skin. I would love to try the too faced makeup but I do not live near a too faced counter ๐Ÿ˜ญ But anyway, love the post! Count me as a new follower! :)xox

    1. Aww thanks! That’s a shame about the Urban Decay foundation. I’ve heard mixed reviews so I think it definitely does depend on your skin type. You should see if Too Faced have any online samples! I love it! Thanks for the follow too ๐Ÿ’•

  2. Great post, I use the urban decay foundation and also the Kat Von d lock it foundation both only when I am going out as my skin just breaks out so easily. I would love to try the Giorgio Armani and my skin to like it. ๐Ÿ’—

    1. Thank you! Yeah I wouldn’t feel comfortable with such a thick foundation everyday. My skin is really brone to breakouts too but the Giorgio Armani foundation works really well with my skin. I’d definitely recommend it xox

  3. I love my Georgio Armani foundation, it’s absolutely flawless. I have been eyeing on born this way foundation for sooo long, I guess I should make a splurge now ๐Ÿ˜ŠI haven’t tried Urban Decay all nighter but I absolutely love their one and done. It’s been my favorite for a long time now.
Loved reading your review, keep them coming.

    1. I would definitely recommend the Born This Way foundation! It lasts all day which is amazing. The Urban Decay All Nighter is perfect for the evening but it’s a bit too think for an everyday foundation.
Thanks for the comment I really apppreciate it xxx
